Just wanted to say thanks again. We had a great day and the kids really enjoyed it. The set up for the kids was excellent with the indoor/outdoor stuff and face painting/balloons etc. The company do a very good job and seemed to be good supervision also which is important. I had a few winners also which added to the enjoyment. I have been greyhounds before but first time at race meeting. We will be up again. Just wanted to give you some feedback and say thanks again. To all the staff at Dundalk Stadium

On behalf of the 21 guests who attended Rory and Roseanne’s engagement party last night (06/10/12) at the stadium I would like to say a huge THANKS. We all had an excellent night.

The service we received last night was above standard from every member of staff.  From the moment we arrived and a lady who greeted us at from door and showed us almost to our seat, she was very welcoming.

In the restaurant……the table service for drinks, betting and food, was excellent.  The girl at our table who took the bets was very good in letting us beginners know how we place bets e.g. each way betting and reverse without us looking like edgits.  The waiter and waitresses who took our drinks orders always had a smile (probably laughing at us losing a fortune) and very polite, never made us feel like nuisances which some places make you feel like that nowaday.

Food was excellent.  I spoke to everyone today which attended the party everyone was more than happy with food, I think most plates went back almost licked clean.  I myself had steak and which ever supplier you get your beef from keep them because that is one of the nicest steaks Ive had in years, and cooked to perfection.  So big compliments to the chefs.

Then for the bar….bar staff excellent and attentive, bar became busy after races (mad dash for the bar) but the bar man acknowledged you know that he’d be with you in a minute and smiled the whole time.  DJ good up to date music.

Then the time to go home(no one wanted too)….your security men offered to phone us a taxi but thank God we had a few pregnant women and two other designated drivers so that saved us a few euros (cause at that stage we were all broke, not many winners) and they were gentlemen in asking us to leave they weren’t pushing us out the door they had a bit of craic with us first, they had a good knack in getting rid of us all.  And all smiling too.

Can I also say, i was left to book this party for my brother and his new fiancee and I was dreading the whole thing of trying to organise something for them.  But on my first initial phone call to Dundalk Stadium and in speaking to Jean, who was lovely on phone, it was like she took a weight of my shoulders and told me how it would work and sent up a follow up email with an attached menu.  It was so easy to book and the a lady called Laura phoned a few days before the night to confirm numbers and was also very nice on the phone.

So I’ll stop going on, sorry if I have missed anyone.  Thank you all so so much and keep up the good work, (you all seem very happy in your jobs) and keep smiling, a smile goes a long way and hopefully we will be back sooner than later. A great night was had by all.

Dear Jean and Laura,
Can I just say thank you for a brilliant evening,  we were very impressed with the whole set up.  The girls at the tables were so patient with us as a group, who hadn`t a clue about betting, but it didn`t take long to catch on!!!!  Your discretion re the surprise for John was appreciated.    He was chuffed to bits.   Your food was excellent too.   We`ll definitely fly the flag for the Dundalk Stadium in Armagh!!!!!

One other thing as I work in a customer service based industry I am very well aware of the importance of FOH staff and my journey
with you from arrival to departure was fantastic ….. got a very friendly greeting and you were more than helpful with all my awkward questions and requests nothing being too much trouble …. so thank you very much and please show this to your boss ……

We would like to thank you and your staff for a very enjoyable weekend Horse and Greyhound racing. Would you give our special thanks to the Restaurant Manager who ensured we was extremely well “looked after”. The food and service was excellent; we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Ireland and met some very pleasant people. Hope to see you on my 60th next year.

Just a wee email to say that we really enjoyed our night at the races and hope to return soon.

The whole experience was very enjoyable, the service at the table was excellent and the food was great.

But hey, most importantly, please let the chef know that my dessert (chocolate n chestnut cake, with ice cream & chocolate sauce) was the best thing I have tasted in a very very long time – it was out of this world, and honestly, i normally wouldn’t have a dessert, so glad i did this time!!
